Volunteer/Internships:

1. Filmmaker/Documentary maker

The Jani Foundation is seeking a volunteer (with the potential for a paid position in the future) or film school intern (we can provide college units once we have received our 501c3 status) to work with us to conceive, film, edit, short videos featuring severely mentally ill children, adolescents, and adults, as well as their families. The goal would be showcase the many faces of severe mental illness, both the struggles and the joys. Each video would be 3-5 minutes long, one produced per month, for upload to the Jani Foundation Youtube Channel. Technical requirements are your own digital camera, video editing software, and file hosting websites. Experience with iMovie a plus. Require interest and passion in telling human stories. Must be comfortable and sensitive enough to interview subjects, as well as being comfortable filming or editing graphic scenes of mental illness. The Jani Foundation will cover pre-approved expenses.
